trunk gas shock pressure

okay, short and sweet, i have a 4th gen, i see people doing the gas shocks to lift the trunk and i want to do it, mainly to free up space for my speakers which are too deep. But all of the diys i see, no one mentions the "just right" lift strength of the shocks. Has anyone done this or anyone have an idea how much pressure it would take? or how can i measure the force of lifting it. thanks for any info

edit: i think i put this in the wrong place, i meant to put it in 4th gen...

Re: trunk gas shock pressure

I have 30kg pressure in each of mine. The "just right" pressure will be different if you have a cf trunk lid, or a spoiler, or a different spoiler to mine.

This is interesting... What length did you use, and where did you bolt it down to? PIC? I would also like to do this with my hood...

The ones for the hood are the universal (honda) ones on ebay.

trunk, not too sure, but wouldn't be surprised if they're universal as well, just gotta specify pressure and stroke.
