When i had my 08 tC I never left my car in gear when i parked it, (got stoned a few times and almost messed some stuff up haha :P)

atleast the damage wasnt too bad, (Id make him pay for a new hood hehehe) Do you get remote starts with those nice viper or whatever they're called alarm systems?

yeah its optional on them.. i have the new viper alarm on my lude w/ LCD and all works (shock sensor, tilt sensor, doors, hood & trunk pins, etc).. no remote start tho..nvr liked auto-start, especially on manuals.

If it's installed properly you CANT start them in gear.

It's a bummer, but you have no one to blame but yourself. It's not your dad's fault. Most people leave manual transmissions in gear. Having an improperly installed remote start on a manual trans is VERY dangerous. What if that truck was a lady loading her child in the car????

Biggest signature in the history of forums award goes to you.

To the OP, it could have been a lot worse. I was honestly expecting to see a severely t-boned Prelude in this thread. GL with the CF hood.

Listen to me!!!! If you get a carbon fiber hood get it clear coated by a good shop.. This will make you cf hood last a lot longer...especially if you park it outside!

ahh see i nvr knew that.. now it seems obvious enough that this would be an option on a manual car. lol
and yes, most of us leave cars in gear and e-brake up. its a habit i doubt i'll be able to get rid of.
