Synchros, not a little grind lol

Alright so ive recently got my lude back on the road. This is after my clutch went and i drove it home with zero clutch, and was convinced it wasnt the clutch so i kept trying to shift to third. And guess what one new clutch later my third gear synchros are gone. Gone not a little grind, gone. So im wondering besides synchromesh is there any other magic oit their. Thnx guys!

Re: Synchros, not a little grind lol

Not for something like that, if your syncro is gone, its gone. Syncromesh is only for slightly worn gears, not meat grinding noises.

I suggest you get it replaced for eventually you will throw out 3rd gear itself, and it's one of you more used gears.

You're looking at a couple hundred for the snycro set off oem honda if you do it yourself. Go to a shop and you're looking at 1200+. If I were you I'd buy a **** tranny, teach yourself to take it apart and back together. I went to a tranny guy once, and I will not pay over a grand again for him to change out a single gear. It can't be brain surgery.

WTF! Do they make those for m2b4?

Nvm, second link. This is crazy, I can rebuild my tranny for close to nothing.
