Icon2 Bride Seats for the Lude(pics) Opinions...

Hey all, so i get the lude back from paint Saturday morning and in the mean while im digging the way my exterior is gonna look but I hate the interior of the car and im getting rid of the rear seats so no worries on matching anything. So i figured while i wait i can look into seats cause shipping takes forever anyways might as well get started lol.Now for the Fronts Im thinking about these Bride seats cause ive found them on ebay new for 400 shipped for the Pair.

-Opinions
-Anyone had um?
-Suggestions for better ones?

Re: Bride Seats for the Lude(pics) Opinions...

big mike has the "wide" version bucket seats in his car, and those things are hella tight still and i'm a fairly thin person. i'm sure the bride low max's are even tighter. also, $400 for a pair of new brides, shipped? that seems extremely cheap, are you sure they aren't knock-offs?

edit: here's the answer to my question at the bottom of the page...

***** Please note: These BRIDE seats are made by BRIDE Taiwan and are not made in Japan by Tee's Corp. BRIDE is a legal registered trademark in Taiwan and Canada. These seats are not made in Japan. *****

Easy way to attract some unwanted attention. I've never been big for full on racing seats. Find a nice oem replacement like rsx seats or something...

4th gens come stock with cozy bucket type seats. mine have over 180K of ass in them, and i would still take them over any racing seat ive sat in.

Does anybody know what kind of seats our 4th gens have? 240s come with recaro seats from the factory.

Well this is what ive come up with. I mainly dont like the material and color of the stock seats. The seats them selves are just fine. Maybe ill look into reupholstering them instead

That can be a good way to go. I believe ogs got a re upholstery kit for his seats that turned out well. Maybe search for that or he will chime in.

As much as I love the look of my leather 4th gen seats after like 2 hours of driving my lower back hurts. Could be because I slouch.

Re: Bride Seats for the Lude(pics) Opinions...

yeah those seem to be replica's. theres a thread on ht and nwp about replicas vs real. the brides are pretty easy to tell if they're real or not.

there should be a white tag on the seat with a little red outline of a monster ghost thing.
but the replicas look good, but idk if they would be as comfy as the real deal.

Re: Bride Seats for the Lude(pics) Opinions...

Those are fakes.. They are everywhere around here.. I wouldn't trust my life in something that doesn't do safety test and isn't regulated like real racing seats..also real bride seats don't even hold up good in a wreck..

If you want real racing seats look at the recaro speeds.. They are 700 each though.. But you can try to find the used

I also like the idea of re-upholstery - you keep the comfort & adjustability of the Lude seats and they look pretty good.

Can't wait to see your car all painted! I'm getting my red Lude painted in the next month or so. Anyone know of someone selling a Wings West RS lip kit?
