Re: Motor gone ;/ in despair!

no dude he just basically said oh that's motor problem you'll need a new motor and all he said was that oil is spitting out of the dipstick place which i can tell cuz oil goes all over the front bumper and stuff..

leaking/worn piston rings that is causing compression to leak past the rings, pressurizing the crankcase (oil pan), and coming out the easiest way possible, with oil, out the dipstick.

to the OP... i bought a running H23 for $300, and a running F22 for $200, you just gotta know where to look

ok kool well let me tell ya this! all H and F motors use the same mounts. My suggestion is go to a junk yard find a90-92 accord with an F22 and put t in there. it will but a running car and they are cheap and parts for them are plentiful.

You sure it's not just a bad PCV valve? Does it run poorly? Or burn lots of oil

if oil is truly shooting out of the dipstick then it's probably more serious than just a pcv valve imo...the worst i've seen from a bad pcv is oil starting to build up in your air cleaner and some leaking valve cover gaskets

It runs quite well.. the idle is high like 2500 rpm and sometime it does the old up and down idle.. i think if i hit it hard thts wen it shoots out the dipstick.

I found this.. HONDA ACCORD 2.3L VTEC ENGINE 1998-2002 $350 but again how would i go about putting it in i never done anything like that before..
