Is this stock or aftermarket?

hey wats goin on guys. yesterday was really nice out so i was out cleaning the whip. when i first bought my car 3 months ago, i saw what looked like a light mounted on the firewall facing down next to the fuel filter. i finally got around to removing it cause all the wires had been cut. it looks like a siren or something and when i connected it to a battery, it wouldnt work. i know the cars been broken into a couple of times before ive owned it but my question is: is this the stock alarm system or is it aftermarket? theres no serial numbers or names on it

Re: Is this stock or aftermarket?

haha thx guys, at least now i know what it is. i dont feel like rewiring the whole thing together so i guess ill roll with out an alarm system. if this is the stock alarm system, am i missing a keyless entry switch? you know the thing that goes on your key ring and lets you lock/unlock the doors and set off the alarm?

Re: Is this stock or aftermarket?

The OEM optional alarm siren is mounted in front of the A/C condenser on the radiator core support on the driver's side. the siren also is round not square so it's definitely aftermarket.

Here are the installation inscructions for the optional OEM alarm siren.
