Icon13 Mold

Since someone smashed out my windshield and i live in florida, the humidity caused mold to spread through the whole inside of my car, should i sell the car to the junk yard for 350 or keep it and change everything out? i only bought the car for 300. If i sell it im going to save up for another lude

Re: Mold

yeah if you can find another one in a junkyard just rip out the seats and carpet and swap them over to yours, shouldn't cost too much, just make sure you clean up whatever water or mold you have laying under your carpet

Re: Mold

yeah thats true, im more worried with the mold going all through the a/c and making sure i get all of it out, and i also am not sure if i can come up with the money to replace everything. idk its honestly a really tough decision

you could do this. or you could spend a painstaking amount of time gutting the entine interior, finding/cleaning parts. and replacing it all. up to you which route you choose. id personnaly gut it and start over

Re: Mold

Considering it was purchased for $300 and the junkyard will give $350....put that $50 towards one that isn't going to take hours and hours and hours of labor and a lot of money in cleaning supplies, new carpet/possibly seats/ etc. just to make...sanitary. Know what I mean? I've seen what goes into mold restoration. Not worth it.

thats what im thinking, like i would love to restore the car but the amount of mold in it is out of control right now, i would have to rip out the whole dash and everything, change out the whole a/c wich i dont have the money for and on top of after doing all that i still have to rebuild the whole motor and right now im sitting on 50$ so i have nothing close to what it would take to do this
