gas/cluster malfuntion?

this is the 10+ time my car has done this a morning after a cold night.

for some reason it goes away after the engine in warm, but when i bouth the car the same part wasn't working until i bought this one, so now i'm scared that i will stop working too. therefore i wanna know what's wrong so i can fix it b4 it goes away too. specially cuz this part is super expensive and hard to find ;-)

HONDA PRELUDE SI DIGITAL GAUGE CLUSTERS 1992-1996 - eBay (item 120679065566 end time Mar-02-11 12:54:01 PST)

The chip is shot, common problem. If you can find just the fuel / temp piece, thats all you need. But its tough to find just that for it makes the whole cluster useless, so people sell it as a whole.

Take time to take yours apart, only takes a couple minuets, you'll see burn marks on the side.

Re: gas/cluster malfuntion?

you need to buy a new one look in a junk yard its a long shot but possible to get one cheapest one i found online was $135 so im buying a aftermarket fuel gauge and temp gauge and a 3 gauge piller and just keepin a hole empty for my boost once i get it im not spending all that money on one that will just break and have to buy a new one again look on ebay i found it for $40 with the plunger that goes into the gas tank

Re: gas/cluster malfuntion?

Its on its way man, trust us. If it was anythng besides the dash chip itself like an electrical problem it would effect more then just your gauges.
