h22 progress

ok so i ordered an h22a from hmotorsonline, i planned on replacing the flywheel and clutch anyways but when i went to pull off the oem or jdm ones they were ridiculously rusted. Upon further inspection i found that the casing the covers the flywheel on the bottom of the tranny was missing, possibly allowing water to enter inside the tranny housing, throughout the engines entire life. i think hm only cuts what is necessary to remove the engine and leaves everything else in tack so i dnt think they went out of there way to remove this piece. I know i voided my start up warranty by opening my tranny and hm cnt predict how the previous owner of the engine drove it.....but comon wouldnt they notice that missing housing piece during inspection and what if i didnt replace my clutch it def would have given me problems in a month or 2, im just mad hm sent me rusted stuff, should i complain??? i mean the clutch and flywheel i took off my blown f22 was in better condish then what hm sent me

anyways heres some pics of my progess

looks clean on outside

scattered parts

HERE IS THE MISSING PIECE I KEEP REFERRING TO

F22

Tranny parts i ordered for the H(fidanza8lb,actionclutchstage21ks)

Tranny parts HMOTORSONLINE supplied me with(look how torn up that clutch is, it is an exedy but its grinded up pretty bad)

Tranny parts from my f22

I already started to clean inside the tranny a little, i shoulda took pics before it was filthy.
rust dust!

AND can some one tell me what this wire is i ripped it when i pulled my f out. it was attached to the tranny. Do i need to replace???

Re: h22 progess

your just freaking out for no reason.

that clutch cover isn't too important, i've ran without that for awhile with no side affects. i wouldn't recommended everyone do it it, but would def put it on if you have it. water wouldn't get INSIDE the tranny without that cover, it would get in the space between the tranny and block (and clutch and flywheel )

the exedy clutch looks to be in much BETTER condition than your old F, it looks like it has ALOT more life on it. its not torn up and scratched, that's just what the material looks like. it even looks like that brand new.

you should def replace the rear main seal and tranny seals before dropping her in, as well as greasing the clutch fork.

that line that you ripped was your clutch line, sooo..... you need to replace that hahahah

everything looks fine, your just paranoid

Re: h22 progess

yeah that line def looks like the clutch line as the guys above me stated haha. How did you blow your F22? Nitrous or driving all stupid like? (and that wasnt meant as an insult as I myself have blown 2 engines in my time lol) or was it just time for the engine to go?

This plug is not used. (One on the left) It doesn't mate to anything. No idea on the other two.
