L.E.D's for the 4th gen?

Hey,

I thought posting it up here would help me out :( as this is only the place i could really ask :(

What do the following take specifically?
cluster
dash lights brightness switch/cruise control switch/sunroof switch
entry light (also known as ignition light)
alarm light
climate control
cigarette lighter
ashtray light

Cant find accurate information on this anywhere :(

Also would their be any problems if i was to do the led conversion on the tail lights, high mount brake light, side repeaters and the front bar indicaters?

Are there certain types of L.E.D's for a specific bulb? I'm aiming for the best light spread, brightness etc

Many thanks,

Patrick

Do a search first. There are many many many threads on this. Also, check the DIY section.

So the whole cluster uses bulb size 74 also known as t5?

ash tray, cigarette light, ignition light, dash lights brightness switch/cruise control switch/sunroof, climate control switch use about 10 size 74's (or t5?)

I think the climate control uses 3 size 74's (or t5?) for the backlight, how about the buttons themselves?

How about the alarm?

I think all my fuses are good, the bulb might be blown if i have it at all, I don't have Vtec or 4ws.

Re: L.E.D's for the 4th gen?

the Climate control buttons (the lights that come on when the button is pushed) have to be un-soldered from the circuit board and replaced with new LED's.
I offer this service if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. Of course, if you live in Australia, the shipping will KILL YA!

IF you replace your turn signals with LED bulbs, the direct plug n play replacement type, use the bulbs with multiple SMD's for the best "spread. You will also need to replace your standard signal flasher relay with a electronic one. Other wise you will have the hyper flash.

Also for the climate control, cluster, dimmer/cruise control/sunroof, cigarette lighter, ashtray, ignition ring for the bulbs do they come in SMD?

Re: L.E.D's for the 4th gen?

Hey,

I just wanted to know if the following are right (after a few hours searching)

Dimmer/CC/Sunroof
#74 NeoWedge Type A (T3) (x4)

CC backlight

#74 NeoWedge Type B (T4) (x3)

CC indicaters
3mm L.E.D's (x8)

Cluster/Gauge
Gauge lights (3W x 5)
Left/Right turn signal, High beam, SRS, 4WS (1.4w x 5)

Ignition key light, Cigarette lighter light, Ashtray light
(1.4w x 4)

Do the Cluster/Gauge, Ignition key light, Cigarette lighter light, Ashtray light take the same bulb but different base?

Meaning i can change the bulb with this? 10x Blue T5 Gauge Instrument Cluster LED Bulbs 37 18 86 - eBay (item 260640912271 end time Feb-20-11 10:23:49 PST)

If not what NeoWedge type is the Cluster/Gauge, Ignition key light, Cigarette lighter light, Ashtray light?

Where is the best place to buy all this?

I really wanna get this done :(

Thanks,

Patrick

Re: L.E.D's for the 4th gen?

i used a 24 in my cig lighter bulb , but the end piece was alil too thick so i sanded down the plastic so it would fit in the connector

24-xHP LED CAR BULB Specifications

just to let u know ebay has way cheaper leds but u gotta know how to search, need to know the led number and the stuff comes from china so it takes twice as long to receive
