Having major troubles Here

first off i have a 95 lude SE with a H22A swap

Here the problem i over the past week or so, and has been getting worse i have been experiencing major back firing and its also misses like crazy. Also i have to warm my car up for about 15 minutes or it will not go anywhere because of it missing so badly. Also when i go to rev it up it sometimes only will go so far no matter how much throttle i give it. the only code that i was throwing was CEL 43. so i thought maybe its the O2 sensor so i took it off to replace it and come to find out the Bosch O2 sensor i got would not work because its connector was female and i needed male. so i put the old one on and no CEL anymore. but the car is still running like complete ****.
things i tried change spark plugs, messed with the timing through the distributor, changed plugs wires, replaced fuel filter,
i have no idea what to check next. besides to check the timing belt, to see if it jumped time, or check the TP sensor since i not throwing any codes, or could it be the fuel injectors.

Did you try to run the car with the O2 sensor detached? The CEL for O2 sensor only comes on when the heater circuit is not complete; otherwise the ECU will use bad O2 sensor readings and frak up the fuel ratios. Detaching the O2 sensor ensures that it's in open loop and none of the sensor data is being used for fuel calculations.

Re: Having major troubles Here

Check this thread out as well CEL-Code 43 explained

Maybe it's clogged injectors. Check the fuel pressure.

I had similar problems and tracking down the culprit was lot easier because of OBDII live data which gave me a lot of sensor readings.

Re: Having major troubles Here

ok bro your on the right track, you should have bought a denso o2 sensor ,bosh is not good on hondas ,your backfire could be out of timing , valves could be out adjustment, check your temp switches ,also check distributor inside could be burning ,hope this helps.

Re: Having major troubles Here

sry 4 late replay. im bored at work. i had a similar prob towards the end of my original motor: bad gas milage, missfires, gas smell, n 43 poppin up 1nce. after reset it was gone. i might hav gottn 43 1nce more but only driving 4 awihile. i did all troubleshoots: fuel pressure, checking o2 n timing were all good. i did a compression test n that showed my problem. mines was no compression on cylinder 2. popped valve cover open n i blew a rocker clamp right of its threads. not to scare u but check ur compression.
