f22a1 to h22 swap

Ok so i have been looking around the site and the net. I keep finding prelude si and not s modles.I am in need of a parts list. I only have about two weeks to get all the parts and the motor installed before i start my new job.

I was told i need to get h22 motor mounts, a p28 and i am going to use my f22 trans. What about a harness will i need and another parts?I will use this for pics and other stuff when i start the swap also....

Thanks for any info and help you can give me

Charles....

Re: f22a1 to h22 swap

p28 can be chipped, but you just need a 5 spd p13 i do believe,
the f22 trans will bolt straight up. depends if its jdm or usdm, (obd1, or obd2) about the wiring harness,
cv axles are interchangeable, but I have no idea if you should change to h22 axles just to be safe, but f & h series are interchangeable, thats all I can say atm, someone will probably come in and correct me, just offering some knowledge when I swapped trannys.

Re: f22a1 to h22 swap

you will be able to keep everything from your car.
motor mounts are the same, as well as axles
it all really depends if the h22 you are getting is obd1 or obd2
if obd1 then your in good shape and will only need to run wires for vtec
if obd2 then you will need to get a obd1 dizzy and injectors, or use obd2 harness=headache!!
and go to phearable.net for your ecu $175

Re: f22a1 to h22 swap

i did the SAME exact set-up man!

tigerjapenease.com ........for the h22a (spell check type it in on google)
phearable.net ................fro the chipped and tuned p28 ecu

i forgot the company i bought my mounts from but try ebay for there bussiness listings i got (innovative motor mounts 75a series) for right around 240$ and you dont need the front tq mont i read on many forums that they didnt run it bit the bullett and just used the 3 and it does flawless!

also go the timing belt and tensioner and all misc accesories and waterpump from honda.

and the "stage 2 competition clutch" from an ebay store lister and i LOVE IT nice and firm :x but for real it feels nice and still easy on you im use to it now its not a strain at all even in rough traffic but ppl who are equipped with stock clutchs complain bc its so tough but i love it lol

BTW: i have a stock untouched P13 ECU out of a 95 vtec prelude. first thing i pulled when i saw it at the junk yard un touched and in mint condition let me know if your intrested id let it go for hella cheap!

also the tranny that comes in our S preludes bolted to an h22 makes our power kinda go out the crap shoot IMO. i had the same mind set about our trannies "ahhh what will it hurt my tranny is still good!" ......well now im on the search for an M2B4 :) the tranny an h22 needs :D

BUT thats what i did for my build if you just wanna an h22 to fit in your lude with a budget. get any h22 as long as its obd1 for simplicity. p13 or tuned p28 or tuned p72 ecu and possibly a wire harness i believe tigerjapanease b4 ordering they will ask if you want the harness i bet this will make the swap a bit easier but thats my 2 cents! realistically all you need is the h22 and ecu and ur good to go! ...but for future refrence the motors already out of it do it once, do it right, dont cut corners and dont rush!

Re: f22a1 to h22 swap

Unless you're on a very limited budget I would really try to find an H23 or H22 transmission the F22 gearing is just too tall
