where is the door sensor located on the driver side? i can't seem to find it

haha. i feel stupid now. what would cause it to stop working? it randomly works sometimes but for the most part it doesnt

i would take it off and check the wires going to it, maybe its hanging on by one wire and not getting a strong enough signal

Oxidization can occur making not quite enough of a connection to trigger the relay to turn the dome light on. Try and just push the switch in repeatedly for a few seconds and let it snap back out. This will usually make it work well.

The way yours works might be a little different than mine but when I first got my car it wasn't working at all so I took it off and realized there was no spring in it to push it back out. So I took a spring from a ball-point pen and shoved it in there and sprayed the thing with some silicone lubricant (for plastic parts and such) and bingo, works like a charm and hasn't stopped working yet.
