auto trans que.

My trans shifts hard sometimes on my auto 92 and I was going to drain and put Royle purple ATF in there, but since I dont know if or ever its been changed I heard it can mess up the trans if I drain it. Is this true and if I can just drain and refull how much ATF does this trany need.

Re: auto trans que.

if you drain it from the drain bolt it will need about 3qts the proper way to do a home flush is drain, fill, drive 10 miles, drain, fill, drive 15 miles, drain, fill and done.
and as long as you use proper fluids and weight you should be fine. check the trans oil to see if its dirty or burnt if so change it. if not well i got some bad news for ya.

Re: auto trans que.

I did have the same thing in my transmission I drain 2 liters and then added the same amount.
then after that I drove the car as it is a brand new Lude (not hitting the gas paddle hard) after doing like 5000 Km I did drain all the trans fluid then add Idemitsu ATF.
now it runs smooth and shifts good.
