700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
So its 3:30am in the morning and i am bored.. So why not looking around craigslist and look for a daily driver.. I would love to find another prelude to just drive and keep about 95% stock...
So i am looking around and come a cross a 94 prelude.. Now you have to ready this.... This post starts off great. This is a well-kept, good condition 1994 Honda Prelude. Close to 199K on motor, regular oil changes and mostly highway miles.Amenities include 5% tent, double din dvd player (not wired to play dvds, only cds and mp3s), aftermarket head lights and tail lights, and alarm with remote starter.Great on gas mileage, fill up with about 30 bucks and go close to 700 miles on full tank. Great car for new drivers or single person/couple. Not much of a backseat so don't reply if you need to fit more than two people in the car. Have had car for about a year, no problems but need something a little bigger now... Cash talks, will sell car for around 2100 without alarm and remote starter Ok so i have a f22a1 in my prelude right now and it cost more then 30 to fill her up. Also i have never got close to 700 heck not never 500 miles to a tanks... Can you tell someone is looking for a pda " professional dumbazz" to buy this car? I mean just buy saying 30 will fill the car up and adding it gets 700 miles to a tank really makes me feel like something is wrong with this car.. I mean if you are going to lie to people why you a person trust the sell at all? Now i will give the car looks super clean, but i mean come on 700 miles on a tank of gas lmao... |

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
My H22 is lucky to pull 300 out of a tank. She's a depressed little engine.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
when i had my lude, i dont think i got over 300 on a full tank and i normally dropped about $20-$30 to fill about half ($3+ a gallon for premium). i think its about $40-$45 to fill it full.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
HOLY S! I think Im just going to have to call B.S. on the 700. Who is this guy trying to fool? Is he trying to sell the car to a 7 year old? Really dude...nobody is going to fall for that.
I just bought my 2nd lude...and neither the h22 I have now, or the h23 in my old lude would get even close to that. If I drive like my dead grandma im lucky to get 330 miles. Its hard to drive like a wiener though with an h22a. Lol.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
It usually cost me around $30 to fill my tank.....
But I like this part "double din dvd player (not wired to play dvds, only cds and mp3s)" um....no. lol That's not how it works haha. |
|
||||
Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
Not exactly. If you don't have it wired to the emergency brake, it won't play DVDs.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
Well, true. But I don't think I've ever come across someone THAT lazy lol. At the very least most wire it to a switch anyway so they can illegally watch it while moving.
You can get just a in dash screen without DVD for like $200 less than one DVD capable...why not at the VERY LEAST jury-rig it if you paid that much for it? Lol The way they made it sound though lol. Like internally it's wired different haha |

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
Indeed. Maybe he's just an idiot lol.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
$30 is probably 10 gallons of gas and the car would have to do 70mpg to get 700 miles per tank.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
Yeah it's bull****. I was trying as hard as possible to get good MPG's on my old Prelude....Most I ever got was 346 on a full tank of premium.

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
I usually fill up at 400 miles, which is around 13.5 gallons. I've never gone past 425 miles in one tank because I don't want to risk running out. Once the last light on the gauge turns off I start to get worried :P

What are you guys talking about? I get 700+miles out of my car! In 3 tanks!!!
But whoever said he's not going to fool someone is wrong. There is always someone out there who is ignorant (notice I said ignorant and not stupid) and will be taken advantage of by this cocksucker.

The most I've ever got in mine (h23 wit 190k) was like 350ish to a tank . . . He must have a 12 gallon fuel cell in the trunk too like them big boy ford trucks with two tanks hahaha

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
haha thats hilarious i got a 92 lude with a completely stock F22A1 eng. and a 5speed. It takes $45 to fill up at $3.40 a gallon here in Germany and i can get 370 if im pushing it to the empty light!! and not bad with 187K on her... :)

Re: 700 miles to a tank of gas prelude..
Well i have f22a1 running octang 83 . I live in arkansas about 30 mins from this car.. I think 83 is running about 2.89-2.93 and i pay about 35 for a full tank.. As for the best mpg its around 398-415.. I dont like to let my gauge get under three bars..
Maybe i should go test drive this prelude and see what he has done to make it get 700 miles to a tanks lmao |
