Re: engine brake in

You only have to break in a motor with brand new pistons and rings to get the rings seated. If the car is used what would make you think that it needs to be broken in again unless you had your block rebuilt?

Re: engine brake in

^^ Someone's looking to get banned. To the OP, yeah, we all make mistakes. If you ever have any questions about anything, or before you do anything to the car, do a little research. A google search with the term "preludezone" after whatever you are questioning about will usually yield better results than using our search function. Enjoy the new whip, and remember, do your own research BEFORE creating a new thread. Take it easy, big man.

Just lay off and stop trying to be assholes. He obviously is new to cars and was misled. It happens to more people than I'd care to admit. You're good to go dude; Drive it like ya stole it.

To everyone who's being an ass, get the hell off this thread.

Just ignore them. They usually aren't helpful anyways. A few of us are actually here to help.

Re: engine brake in

You only need to break in new engines...and rebuilt ones...oh and new clutches have break in periods (500 miles)

I've heard that Honda engines don't truly break in until like 50-80k..not sure if that's true but sounds about right
