ways to increase traction

what are some good ways to increase traction currently i have megan strut bars and energy suspension bushings. im just trying to get better traction for winter, cornering, and the wheel hop i get when i try to launch hard. i was thinking of stiffer springs but im wantin a budget of 130 for springs but i dnt want a drop. as for tires i have a set of 17 inch falkens going on on saturday. what are some other ways to get better traction, my driver knuckle is supposably bent a mechanic told me dnt kno if thats affecting anything.

i just replaced my shocks 4 months ago and now theyre blown dnt know why, my car sits lower on the driver side. when i corner my car kinda slips like its losing traction. i also have power steering deleted indk if this causes that bt its kind of anoying. any info will help please

sry if my whole thing is kind of whack just cant really think straigth to explain it rigth but main thing is i want better traction for cornering and winter lol

Re: ways to increase traction

Eibach Pro-Kit springs only lower the car a slight bit, but offer a higher spring rate. It lowers less than an inch.

Re: ways to increase traction

Sounds like you wanna increase traction AND handling which can't be done just with one part.

Traction/wheel hop = motor mounts and a traction bar. Look into Explicit Speed Performance (ESP) for a combo package.

Handling = sway bars and chassis braces (again, look into ESP for the latter)

What this guy said.

I had REALLY bad wheel hop for a while even when I wasn't launching hard, turns out 3 out of 4 mounts were busted.

Also those megan strut bars aren't doing much for you, the solid bars (Neuspeed for example) will perform better.

Re: ways to increase traction

Toyo Proxes T1R's, TEIN coilovers (or any other brand), Quaife LSD. Should fix the majority of your issues.

Re: ways to increase traction

Tires, coilovers, and an LSD are what you need. Bars are nice but they don't do as much.

Re: ways to increase traction

also, since you only have springs I'm guessing you still have stock shocks, that's the reason you're blowing them. it doesnt matter the diameter of the tire either. you need wider ones. that will help slightly with traction

Re: ways to increase traction

Time to think beyond springs and struts if your having wheel hop issues...
Explicit Speed Performance
That should help you out a bit.
