Re: push start botton question

s2000 push button start ?

that should help

and this
Writeup: S2000 Start Button!! - Honda Prelude Forum - Prelude Online.com

READ MY WORDS AT LESURE , THE WEBSITES SHOULD YOU A LOT !!!

first of all , what year is your prelude ? you have a switch, a relay(NEEDED) , and the necessary long wire. you have a wire from the ignition start (black/white wire) to the relay, a wire from the ignition switch ( black /yellow) , and then your ground on the relay, and the power that taps into a accessory power. all your connections on your prelude should be under the steering wheel on the brown harness

Re: push start botton question

it has nothing to do with the ecu, everything is wired threw the brown harness. READ THE TWO LINKS CAREFULLY

I was about to say this.

Listen, not trying to be rude, but while we all try to be helpful to noobs, when something is this simple and after TWO fully detailed write up links, further explanation, and etc...and you are still confused, sometimes you just gotta realize you are in over your head and beyond your personal skill level. Take it to a shop so you dont royally eff up your car. Because that is what's going to happen.

Hey, I don't try to do engine swaps on my own, because I know better. lol

I would say that technically, you don't need a relay, it's just the best and safest way to do it...but I dont wanna throw a wrench in ;)

also, it might help if you at least tried to work on your grammar, slow down your typing, and "dnt" leave letters out of words, it's amazingly hard to understand what you are even trying to say. I'd help but I dont understand half of your posts.

:EDIT:
I'll try my hand after re-reading it a few times...
I'd personally NOT straigt up cut any wires. It's best to just splice into the existing ones and add a wire from each to your relay (make sure you are wiring it right, though). that way, you can easily restore the car back to stock, no worries about bare hangin wires, and you can use the key still if you choose.

Exactly. Just have someone else do it before you break something.

This is funny because I suck at wiring big time but the install guides me like I was a toddler. Holding my end until the very last step!
