prelude bad ju ju

So after much deliberation and arguments with my self. I have decided to sell the lude. An engine swap would cost almost as much as the car did and i still need body work and interior work. my H23A1 (now known by my friends as the oil puker) just wont keep oil in it and keeps blowing seals. Im going to fix it to sell it and save up for another 4th gen. this car just keeps having problem after problem and always needs something and is in no way suitable for a DD. I was thinking about getting a prelude S or just go all out with the SI VTEC with a good body and nice interior. I paid 1500 for the car and put about 700 into it and its been parked for repairs almost as long as ive been able to drive it(if that makes sense.) im lettin it go for $1000 and ill have about 1500 to 1600 saved up in three months so i should have about 2500 to get a nicer more suitable prettier lude. Wish me luck guys

P.S I hate to let this go but i just don't have to money to bring her back up to 100%. hopefully the next owner will

Haha well I had a girl tell me once and I quote "I feel like u love that car morre then u love me". I asked why she felt that way and she told me bc i don't seem to want to put the effort into our relationship anymore. It was at that moment that I realized she was right. I did care about my car more then her lol. I replied "Well see heres the problem. When somethin's wrong with you, you like to b1tch about it until its fixed. Then when it's fixed, Guess what? You still like to b1tch. My cars a good girl. When somethings wrong she tells me and I fix it. Now heres where the difference is. When I fix my car she loves me and appreciates it. When I fix you...well I can't fix you. So I'm gonna go back outside and stick to what works." lol. True story. Naj3000 will back me up lol. But its now a prerequisit that any girl I'm with doesn't have issue with my car and/or my car habbits lol. Keeps things nice

you are right... its all in how bad you want it. And he doesnt want a peice of poop. Hence forth getting rid of it. My Lude was in the garage for a year and a half trying to get her going again. And once I did I realized it wasnt worth it because more stuff just keeps going wrong.

My advice. Get rid of it and cut your losses. Invest in a better one but dont get a loan for it whatsoever! Who knows where our economy will be in the near future.

Best of luck bro.

Re: prelude bad ju ju

Its all personal preference man. I've pulled 3 motors out of my car (bought it w/cracked block, got sold a blown motor, then installed this one) on top of everything that goes with it AND I make a 220/month car payment. I've got 100's of hours worth of labor, literally blood sweat and tears and around $6k invested total. If ya love what ya drive and it means more to u then just a car then u grit ur teeth and get thru it. If not then u don't. Simple as that. My car is more then just wheels to me. It's an extension of myself. Thats why I fight so hard to keep it and why I want to make it the best it can be. All in the heart man.

Re: prelude bad ju ju

I completely agree with you diamond but the whole problem is i make $8.25 an hr and only get about 25 hrs a week. im 21 trying to get my ged and get into the police academy. If i had the money and the time to let it sit and wrench on it I would. I love the car and ive put blood sweat and tears into it but the fact is i don't have the time or the funds to keep going with it. I could just stuff $100 bills in the VC and have the same out come. In three months i plan to have about 1500 bucks if the car is not sold by then I will just get a swap but if it sells im taking my 1500 and the 1000 i get for the car and buying a better 4th gen (less miles, better taken care of and more reliable) this car is a good platform for somebody who has the time and cash to bring it back up to 100% i have no doubt about it. Unfortunately im not that person. I have to have my priority's in order and having the car sit while I put my life on hold is not one of them.

Np bro. I noticed when I was down (not that I'm back where I was but slowly workin on it haha) that no one wanted to acknowledge the fact that I was tryin my a$$ off ya kno. Kinda got me down worse. So even if u don't know me personally I felt compelled to say good job ya kno. As for the SE that would be a stellar buy. U should call and talk to her and see if u put a down payment if she'll hold it. try working something out
