possesed!

SO I was going to drive home from my ladys houseI turn on my car like normal and my speedometer isn't moving! All off a sudden (5 sec later) it starts moving like crazy up and down up and down to the middle and what not. So I have come to the conclusion that my lude is possesed :( oh and btw the headlights wher dimmer than usual. lol Just wanted to share my little story and hopefully made a few "lol". :p haha

Re: possesed!

Battery is dying, alternator belt is not running, or alternator is going out! Next time it does that, play with your different electrical components like turning up and down the radio, turning on and off your headlights, opening/closing the moonroof, or rolling up and down the windows (if they're electric). While you're doing this stuff, watch your tach and speedo to see if putting an electrical load on the car makes them surge funky.

If they do, don't drive too far from home...

Re: possesed!

My Accord did that when I was riding down the interstate and my alternator crapped out mid-trip.

Re: possesed!

Well if your alt is going bad, you will ruin the new battery. I would get the alt tested to be sure ASAP. I have seen a bad alt ruin a new battery in as little as one day.
