Dyno Day at Motiva Motorsports, 10/24 (Pic Heavy!)

I finally got my car on a dyno run yesterday at a local performance shop to get a baseline idea of where I stand before starting in on any upgrades. Completely stock, my Prelude made 152hp and 140tq at the wheels at 5000ft elevation, air temp at 77 degrees, and 19.1% humidity.
I'd never been to a place like this or seen anything on a dyno except for YouTube, so this was pretty cool for me. Just thought I'd share :)

Sorry for the poor quality videos, apparently my POS camera doesn't retain my settings when I take the battery out to charge it.

This is a view of the projector they had set up inside. The gauge on the right measure's Air/Fuel but I don't understand the numbers. The big circle gauge is engine speed, top left gauge is wheel speed, bottom left is some kinda braking measurement, and then the three boxes with the green numbers are air pressure, air temp, and humidity.

This is just my car up there

And here's some other pics I took of what showed up if anyone's interested

A couple cars parked out front.

Supercharged S2000

Me!

Me and a really clean TL

RSX's seem to have a douschebag effect on some people here in NM.

A view from the front door.

Both of these were RHD converted

One of the cleaner Supra's I've seen in this body style around here

Swapped Civic

Out back, on the Dyno

Part of the line waiting to jump on the dyno

I'd have one of these if they were more reliable, and if I could fit my hands ANYwhere in the engine bay. This twin turbo 300z made 380whp.

The view from the dyno bay

This thing is just awesome.

This Corolla is a drift car. Pushed out 480whp. Kinda butt ugly but impressive nonetheless.

One of their current projects..twin-turbo'ing a Corvette. I dunno why the owner didn't just buy a Lingenfelter cuz the car is only 3 months old and (was) still under warranty.

Another project..supercharging a Camaro. There's another one next to it I didn't photo but I'll link a video of it from their website. Pretty badass.

Another part of the line. That's my best friend's Civic hatch right there. I think he won the lowest HP competition LOL! I left before they put the turbo diesel VW van on though, so he may not have.

being on the dyno is always an awesome experience, especially your first time
looks like a damn good turn-out, a blend of imports and domestics.

i went to my gf's aunt's yesterday, and her uncle has a fully restored 1975 280Z. thing has around 100K miles, and not a scratch on it. he's won countless trophies and awards with it, sooo cleannnn

Oooh awesome I would love to be able to restore one of those some day.

The shop I went to doesn't have an AWD dyno so that was kind of a bummer. There's another shop somewhere in town that does so hopefully I'll hear of them putting on something like this and get a chance to see some REAL power

Awww sorry I missed ya!
Eric will definitely be doing my tuning in a few months when I have everything I need. Sunday served as a meet & greet for geeze and I cuz my friend who has the hatch goes through Eric for pretty much everything. Dude knows his stuff for sure.
How much did your tune cost you?

$350 for the tuning
$100 to shop operator for dyno time.
all cash all afterhours

keep in mind if you walk into motiva m-s 8-5 and ask for the same service it would be like twice that.

ive put 4 of my cars now up on that dyno!
