I need a decision help!

So ive been a member for almost a month but been browsing the fourms for over a month. I like this place alot

So im trying to get my first Lude :D:D and i need some help.

What do you guys think on this post for a 93 lude???

any problems etc to help me out with? lol thanks.

He's asking $800-1000 too much for a car with collision damage. He's going to argue that (by his estimate), it's only $500 plus some sweat to bring it back to pristine condition. Since he's asking a price for a pristine car (according to Kelly Blue Book), he should spend the $500 and sweat...then he'll be $500 ahead. Of course, if you're handy with bodywork, it might not be a big deal to you.

More troubling is why a Prelude with only 139k needed new axles, a rebuilt transmission, and the body welded up. I'd also want to be sure the timing belt was really done, since a broken timing belt is the fast way to a new engine. It's difficult to tell from visual inspection, so I'd want either parts receipts or the service ticket. Without answers to those questions, I wouldn't buy it at any price.

If he can answer the mechanical questions satisfactorily and comes down some in the price, it could be a decent deal.

Although I do like the color of it.

Its hard getting a lude in Minnesota :/ thats in quality condition cause of this damn winter!
