Car pulls hard to left when brake

Hey guys lately when i apply my brakes my car pulls hard as hell to the left. I got an inspection yesterday and he told me i need a new right wheel bearing and also cv joints cause of the boots. But do u guys think the wheel bearing could cause pulling and also a decelleration will cause my car 2 shake.

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

Yea, cv's are like a 1 hour job.

You may have a bad caliper on the passenger side and it's not compressing when you put the brakes on. So only the driver side is compressing and thats what making your car shoot to the left. Pull the caliper off and have somebody sit in the driver seat and press the brake pedal and see if the piston slides out freely. If not, either the caliper is froze up, you have air in that one line, or a brake hose is bad.

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

Yea that's probably right, I'll check on that calliper but what about the shaking. It isn't only when I press on the break that it shakes if I put it into neutral it shakes even worse when I do a slow deccelleration do you guys think it could be the wheel bearing?

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

It's possible, get that replaced and your bad axles then see if it still does it.

A violent vibration in the steering column under braking, in my experience, typically means warped rotors. Is braking the only scenario you get shaking?

daltontj noob
its better to replace the whole axle rather then the boot. especially if the boot has been torn for awhile. and my car pulls to the left when i brake but its because of uneven rotor wear

its true my left side grabs harder then the right cause of my uneven rotor wear

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

sounds 100% like a warped rotor, get it on that machine, see how badly its warped and then you can either get it machined down, or if its way out of spec u may have to get a new one, but i'd recommend a still in good shape used one

edit, i didnt see the decelerate in general part....
could be bearing or cv joint, i think a CV joint will usually have some skippiness in it when coming out of a sharp turn and accelerating (my experience), and i could imagine a bearing would do it under load, if not all the time, could it maybe be the alignment ? either way, get your boot fixed if its ripped !!

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

Sounds like to me that your rotors might need to be replaced.

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

cv shafts would make clicking sound when your turning when they're bad
when your hitting the brakes and it vibrating then your rotors must be warped
as for the pulling like someone already said you prob got a froze up caliper
time for some drilled and slotted rotors!!!

Re: Car pulls hard to left when brake

had this problem on a friend of mines 5th gen, while it is a good idea to get your rotors resurfaced that was not the problem on his. he had a bent tie rod. 99.9999% sure thats your problem.
