Help needed on sounds made on the front

Dear fellow prelude owners, i have just acquired my ride and the car is currently sitting on 17 inch rims and 215/45 tyres. When going around the multi storey carparks, it seems that the tyres are hitting against the fenders. What could the problem be? Is my tyre too big or is it simply my car is so low. (one finger spacing in front)

Re: Help needed on sounds made on the front

The bigger issue isn't the width necesarily but the height. I had 215/45s until they wore out. I did have some rubbing issues as you speak of. Went to a 215/40 with excellent luck. I have even corrected the camber since the tires were installed, which pushes the top of the tire out and only had a rubbing issue on the very edge of the plastic inner fender where it mounts to the fender. And even at that, it only lasted for the first couple hard corners on some high speed mountain roads.

Mines lowered with 215/40 tires and I've never rubbed.

The offset of the wheels also plays a big part. That's why there is a huge sticky on the subject. People need to start reading lol.

What offset you running? I'm running +38 and that's about as low as you can go and not rub...I'm not dropped yet but even with 205/40 I can tell I'm gonna rub even with a mild drop.
