Opinions, Thoughts, Advice?

So after moving back to my mothers I've revised my budget and come up with I have two more payments left on my other car so after that I'll have around about an extra $400.00 a month give or take a few dollars. Aside from saving some I want to start getting serious about fixing my car. I bought it for $400.00 not running. A new fuel pump later it runs. I'm not trying to go all out race type of deal just want it running the way it should be and reliable as something just for me to mess around in, go to work, chill and whatever. Aside from the fuel pump I'm also replacing the radiator, fans, hoses and rewiring the fans. Oil change, plugs changed, looking into a new exhaust considering it currently has none and anything that comes up. I'm by no means a mechanic or close to it. Most of the work will be done by myself or with little help.

My main question is what would be some things to check/do to make it run a little more properly? My main goal by next spring is running good and body fixed. After that I'll get into the 5spd swap and maybe a new engine. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Opinions, Thoughts, Advice?

Hoses checked, Gaskets uh not so much yet, brake lines check, fuel lines check, suspension check no, fuel filter check, transmission flush no....

As far as electrical, engine or body...

body....ROUGH
Electrical...not sure
Engine...I saw no cracks nothing damaged, no leaks (minus the coolant but if anyone saw the pics of my rad you would know why)
I really gotta take pics of this car so people know what I'm working with here.

See some of these I would have thought of but others not so much...I gotta write this all down...yes I'm that type...any other suggestions aside from these?

Someone fill me in on this seafoam it thing...sorry

So it's all just preference where you add it? Doesn't really matter if it's brake booster line, vacuum system, gas tank? I saw the 1/3 here 1/3 there and the rest elsewhere just making sure there's no real order to it.

Re: Opinions, Thoughts, Advice?

i usually just pull a line off the manifold like the one on the back and plug a fish tank hose into it then use the other side to sip seafoam from the can. you put 1/3 in the intake mani 1/3 in the oil 1/3 in the fuel. change ur oil 100 miles later. youtube seafoam so you know what to expect when you start the car up :D
