So...just trying to figure out the pros/cons of each mod. Lemme know what you guys think. Yes I'm bored, so I'm creating a poll. Deal with it.

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

What's a nosemask?

I'd say glass moonroof. Though the glass moonroof would have no cover when you don't want the sun getting in. My moonroof is rusted to hell and I would like to do this mod as well.

Does the glass have to have a 5th gen glass or do some Acura glass also work?

I know the 5th gen sunroof unit is mostly a straight swap. I haven't really looked into any other possibilities.

a nose mask is a bra. i voted sunroof because its more of a "mod" i.e. actually taking stuff apart and changing something up. plus it would look awesome

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

I Could never get mine to sit right, too high and made lots of wind noise. I have the 5th gen roof sitting next to me. I am thinking about putting it back in and make my own brackets for it, which would not be that hard.

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

I went with Sunroof because I plan on doing it as well. And I don't care for the full nosemask. I'd go with just the hood section if I were to get one.

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

I say neither. Nose masking is all mine!

I decided against a glass sunroof in my car cause it is extra weight plus when I had my integra I never just opened the cover without opening the roof. When my car becomes a dedicated track car you can bet the sunroof assembly will be removed and the aluminum piece will be welded in.

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

Um I like both...why not do both? 5g glass is an easy install that'll take less than an hour. Nose mask is almost less than 20mins. I have a hood bra and the 5g glass. No complaint about sun shining through it's really that nice!!!

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

Practical mod= nose mask
Fun mod= moonroof

I voted moonroof. Simply cause I love mine and use it damn near daily. But if you do a lot of interstate travel the nosemask would be a better investment imo.

Re: Next mod: OEM Full Nosemask or Glass Sunroof

I voted glass sunroof. The nosemask (as far as I'm concerned) should only ever be a temporary fitment for lengthy highway drives as I've seen some which have been fitted for extended periods rub and cause the paint to wear away in places.

Also, sean1221 did a writeup about fitting the glass sunroof and the blind so that if the sun doesn't constantly annoy you. But even without it, you could just go to a window tinter and have them place film on it, probably cost about $50.

You need the whole assembly for the conversion though don't you? That's what all the write-ups say.

From what I've read you need the glass and the brackets as well. There are also some plastic covers that go on the inside to clean it up some..if you're real picky.
