Why does my car go numb and over steer to the right?

A few months back, I hit a curb pretty hard at about 50 to 60 mph. I went completely over the curb with all four wheels and the rear suspension was jacked up. The driver side rear wheel was cambered in seriously bad. I replaced the whole rear suspension except the sub frame, bought a camber kit and got the lude aligned. Car drives MUCH better than post accident.

However, when I'm cruisin on the highway at high speeds and I go to switch lanes, say, around a bend, the car will go numb and pull hard to the right. It's extremely dangerous and very uncomfortable when it happens. It's only during RIGHT HAND lane shifts/turns. When I turn left, it's solid.

What could be causing this? When I initially hit the curb, the right front wheel took the brunt of the impact. I also get pretty bad shaking during braking now. Could that be upper control arm bushings? How can I test the suspension to diagnose what's causing the dangerous over steer? The shaking under braking I can handle. It's the numb over steer that could cause a damn accident.

Please advise!!

jesus christ jumping a curb at 50-60mph, i'm surprised your car didn't crumple like a tin can and get totaled. that's insanely fast for hitting a curb!!

first thing i would check are your swaybar endlinks, maybe one/multiple aren't connected/snapped.
if its oversteering, sounds like it might be the rear swaybar, but i would def check all 4 endlinks.

You said you replaced the rear suspension, but said nothing about the front. Simply getting the wheels statically aligned doesn't guaratee anything once you put loads on the suspension and everything moves. There's something bent or broken in the front end, and the only way to find out is to get underneath and measure against specifications.

could be your lower control arm, i dont think endlinks would steer him that harshly, jack ur car up look at the endlinks, those had to of snapped when u hit the curb, if they didnt u have godlike links, to check ur control arm, jack it up and try to move the tire by holding it at 12oclock and 6oclock amd pulling it and pushing it

ya man definitely take a look at your front suspension. guaranteed something is broken. I hit a curb going like less than 25 and my front suspension was jacked

Make sure all the bolts are tight even a slightly under torqued bolt on a control arm or trailing arm can cause this.

Re: Why does my car go numb and over steer to the right?

have u checked your radius rod bushing, if your bushings have collapsed it could cause your car to handle funny and pull in one direction, and radius arm bushings can only be examined when they have been removed. also ask someone to watch the wheels whilst u move the car back and forward and then brake firmly, if the wheels have movement in them (i.e move back and forward) then it will definitly be the radius arm bushings.
