h23 to h22a4 questions

for the past month or so ive been lookin into doin a swap on my 93 lude mainly ive been lookin for a jdm h22 or h22a1. ive recently came across an h22a4 for 350 dollars. so i was wondering what would be involved since it would be obd2. would i be able to use my h23 trany or the m2b4 trany. what about the dizzy. and would i have to change wiring harness. what ecu would i need.

Re: h23 to h22a4 questions

SEARCH BUTTON IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
I JUST USED IT AND FOUND EVERY ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS

you have a post count of 10 so you should know this
but im feeling rather generous
yess you need a diff dizz
yes you can use your h23 trans
yes you will need a diffrent ECU
you should convert back down to OBDI
(look what google found) OBD2 to OBD1 Conversion Harnesses
your new ecu should be a chipped (someone correct me if im wrong)

Re: h23 to h22a4 questions

no, it shouldnt. that is for an OBD I engine into his SI. Palm, your car is OBD I, get a p13 ecu. Re-use your h23's tranny, it will work, but it will be slower. You will fall of out vtec between 1st and 2nd. Depending on the year of your car, you will have to run a wire from your ECU to the vtec solenoid. You won't need the wiring harness, I bought one... turns out i didn't need it because my car is OBD I and my ecu was OBD I. to the existing plugs just go right in.

I've done this swap into my 92 Si.
