Revving, then kapoot.

OK, I searched and came up with nada. I have not the slightest clue what could be the issue. I can rev up to 1k, 2k, even 3k just fine. but if i get much past 4k rpm and let off, the whole thing wants to die. It don't really have me worried as much as it does stumped. Anyone know what the deal is?

I would definitely replace the catalytic converter seen this WAY too many times and was always the problem ...

Well, if it is the Cat, then im not too worried. I plan on replacing the entire exaust first. The one i have on this car is pretty much stock and it sounds like garbage.

Wouldn't be hard to check ... just unbolt the cat from the header and see what the results are...

lmfao thats alot easier said than done. those bolts holding the cat to the header/exhaust are always the most rusted globs of metal that don't even resemble bolts anymore.

It is really easy .. just use a can of liquid wrench less than 5 bucks and let it sit for a couple minutes.. never replaced my exhaust until last year and it was rusted on since 93.

Yea, I agree with twokex. Globs of rust is all they are. He**,my entire exaust is almost all rust xD. The only part that is not rusty is the muffler.
