Few QU'S: Intake, ECU, clutch.

Few questions gents;

Recently I've looked at a dyno map that has the stock intake, and the AEM V2 intake about an HP apart. The guy said with an K&N filter in the stock intake, it should over take the AEM. He mentioned honda knew what they were doing when they designed the intake for the h22. My question is, are the intake systems different (on the chaise) between the base models? For instance, is the SI-VTEC different from the SI? I'm taking about the plastic tubing behind the passenger fender. Any difference?

ECU; The original owner said he got the h22a ecu that came with the engine. How do I check to see what number it is? I'd like a hacked (not really the right word) ECU. I dont think I'll be doing any significant engine modifications with my current h22a, but I'd like to get what I can out of the ECU and tuning. Suggestion for the right ECU, p28 / p23 or something? ><

Lastly, clutch. My transmission is going to be fixed in a little bit (bad 2nd snycro), and while they're in there I'd like to throw in a new clutch. What do you all suggest? I tend to underestimate honda, is their OEM a solid choice? I don't bring my car to the strip, or am an animal in it. Aside from the occasional vtec hit, and red line shift. I dont need something amazing, but I'm willing to fork over some more money to get one that'll last me.

Annnd, whats this about a 5th gen sunroof on 4th gen? Mine's all rusted, so I'm looking to replace.

Is there a conversion of some sort? =p

Re: Few QU'S: Intake, ECU, clutch.

For the intake I'm not %100 but I dnt think they're any dif between the chasis. For ecu if u want tuning capabilities u either want a p28 or a p72. W/a p72 u can easily keeps ur IABs. U can keep them w/a p28 also but it takes some effort. As for the clutch stock is cool but I would reccomend an exedy stage 1. Better feel n snappier performance. U could also get a lighter flywheel which would help u to rev faster. I run an exedy stage 1 and F1 racing 11.5lb flywheel combo in my car. Awesome setup IMO. As for the sunroof conversion search the DIY section. There's a write up.

Ugh, what sites do you guys use?

It's a pain trying to find a relaible site that isn't over priced, and has a good selection. Raceinspired.com is alright, but are there any others? I'm on the hunt for a flywheel, what is considered to light? I've come across some that are 8lbs.

Check out Andy's Auto Sport Body Kits - Your Body Kit Superstore! , I've bought from them before and never had any issues. They're usually pretty decent prices too.

Is this the f1 flywheel you were talking about diamond?

Fidanza 191221 - Fidanza Billet Aluminum Flywheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Another site said it wont fit SI models? =x But that was only one site comment, from autopartswarehouse.

Nevermind, wrong flywheel. I'm having trouble finding JUST an f1 flywheel though, without it being in a clutch combo kit.

I've heard some bad things about Andy's Auto Sport's customer service and shipping.

As for the OP's questions about the moonroof, here's the article. I plan on doing this to cut some of the costs of my body work so they don't have to sandblast the sunroof.
