Update with my h22a swap

hi guys.. after 2 long weeks, i finally got my jdm h22a in n started. most of time was waiting for parts n specialty tools. but it sounds good.. this swap broke my green a** in.! its roughly about 93% done. i cant do a road test yet b/c i need cat n catback. my original h23 cat n catback was a size too small (2.25" i think). will also need a vtec switch b/c the one it came with was broke .
1. should i disconnect the vtec sonoid cause im missing a vtec switch.? i got switch plugged with a m10x1.25 bolt. n will the engine run fine with the p13 without vtec switch n sonoid?
2. main problem im having is checking timing..! i bought the ebay special f1 racing stage 1 clutch kit w/flywheel. after starting i wanted to check timing but cant find the timing marks..!?. do i need to get another flywheel..?
is there any other way to check for timing..?



for future reference h23 to h22a swaps:
this is soley my opinion wat i experienced. i thought i would save money on buying parts separetly. (h22a engine only, ecu, down pipe, clutch kit, cat, catback) i would hav spent the same if i bought together from a good jdm engine warehouse. about +-$1500.
got lucky with jdm h22a w/downpipe from jdmenginecorps.com
usdm p13 n f1 racing stage 1 clutch kit w/ cromoly flywheel from ebay
will need full h22a compatible exhaust system (headers to muffler).

when you swapped the h22a from the h23 did u need to get the entire vtec wiring harness, or can u plug in the ecu and engine?
