need help! exhaust problem!

alright, so my car is running pretty good. but when i take my foot off the gas it seems to sputter as im coasting. and my exhaust tip makes kind of a buzzing sound. any ideas of what could be causing the problem??

Sounds normal to me. That is something that happens in all manual transmissions. In low gears it can even make the car jerk really badly. Unless you have an auto... lol. Then you have an issue.

i was talkin to my friend and he said i might have an exhaust leak. i iguess i will have to check it out

A sputtering sound could be an exhaust leak. To find it without a smoke machine will not be fun.

sounds like your tranny is going bad. especially if its jerking when it shifts on an automatic thats bad

do u still have ur cat. if ur runnin without it then yes ul definatly have backfiring.

yea i still have it. i actually think that is whats going bad. cause i heard a rattle today. and my exhaust is alot louder towards the front.

SCRATCH THAT lol i dont have a cat. ive narrowed it down. its either my down pipe gasket or the pipe where my cat used to be
