Prelude newb needs advice.

Hey gents I am a long time honda owner but never had a prelude though!
I am about to look at a 94 VTI-R here in Australia and was hoping to get some advice on what to look out for specifically for this model when I go see it tomorrow in hopes that I don't buy a lemon..
Anyway its got 155KM on it and looks to be in OK shape, I am pretty well versed on most things honda but is there anything prelude-specific that I should look out for? Certain problem areas mechanically? Suspension stuff? Electronic issues?

Thanks in advance and if all goes well I will officially be a new prelude owner!

Re: Prelude newb needs advice.

Im guessing vti-r is the vtec version? H22?
Well Here in america when a prelude has 155,000 miles, I still consider that low miles, so in your case kilometers thats really low. Make sure all the light on the dash bord work. turn to ignition make sure check engine light turns on, then when you start car make sure it turns off. Check compression. If over 190psi then thats good. (should be 210-220psi). Test drive and make sure vtec kicks in (usually at 5k RPM) Also of times the trunks get water in the or the back seats, check that lift the trunk bored and look. Over all if the car looks nice then thats good. I mean its 16 years old.
