Icon8 Hesitation at 3krpm / Slug / 4th gen revised?

Hallo all, before I get screamed at I did the search and found the threads, so I have an idea of whats wrong and what I can do to fix it.

As the story goes, my car is feeling sluggish. Not at a snails pace, but its not like it should be. At around 3,000 rpm, more noticeable in 3rd gear then forth, the prelude will SLIGHTLY bog, like its not getting enough fuel or something, and the engine roars without it matching it in speed. At 4k rpm the speed will pick up, and the slight sputtering will stop. Vtec engages no problem, and even throws you back a little. I remember first driving the car the vtec was a slight boost, as the car was already flying at 3-4k rpm, but now its very noticeable, like regaining the power its been lacking and then some.

I'm going on the hunch of a bad knock sensor, or bad code? I read this for the 5th gen, is it the same for the 4th? To add, I hear a slight fast ticking sound as I'm accelerating / driving.

My CEL is on, but for my o2 sensor. Can it read off multiple errors? The old man said to rule out the spark plugs, cause it would idle like ****, which it doesn't. I also read about intake (I have aftermarket, doesnt seem like a problem), and possible fuel pressure? New fuel filter has been put in. I have no modifications done expect for the CIA.

Has anyone discovered anything new from this? Is the knock sensor the first to check? I'm thinking of going to my mechanic and asking him to look it up by computer, I believe thats the only way to tell if its bad.

1) CEL readers can red multiple errors, so if you have one you probably have only one (though not always, sometimes they clear off then pop on again.)

2) I would say check ur compression. I was expecting a dead cylinder but your CEL should have gotten that, but checking ur compression shouldnt be a big deal.
