few things noticed now that im driving the lude

ok ive been driving my car now for the past week now that the engine is up and running correctly and ive noticed a few weird noises
1.)clunk noise occasionally from passenger rear when i turn
2.) it souds as if my trunk is open when i go to take off some times
3.) engine is ticking and gets louder when warmed up
4.) not noise related but last night i went to turn my high beams on and my lights flickered on and off and after a second of playing with the switch they came back on
5.) only after i reach 40 mph my steering wheel shakes and at 60 mph it gets pretty bad
any help to what these sounds and issues might be or if its just cause the car is old please help me out the last thing i need is my one and only DD falling apart on me

1993 prelude SI 5spd all stock minus I/H/E 160250 miles

Shock knock (due to blown shock) or broken swaybar endlink.

Is your trunk open? lol

Sounds like you need a valve adjustment cochise.

Combination switch going bad? Short in the wiring for the switch and/or highbeams? Could be a few things.

Rotors may need turned/replaced? Maybe some debris between the hub/rotor causing an imbalance? Wheels themselves may be unbalanced. Bent axle/halfshaft? There is a thread on here about steering wheel vibrations and all the nifty little things that cause them. You could prolly find it pretty easy.

Hope I helped at least a little.

Re: few things noticed now that im driving the lude

1) Possibly a bad strut or bushing, or endlink
2) wut?
3) That's weird. What area of the engine is it coming from?
4) Sounds like a bad switch
5) Bent wheel?

how would i know if a shock is blown ive bounced that area around and it only ..."rebounds" twice its equal to all the other shocks

lol trunk is not open (i left my self open for that one)

getting valve adjustment and oil change this weekend will let you know if ticking goes away it does sound like the valves im just not 100%

I will look into said combo switch and check for any exposed wires or any wear and tear

I'll have the tires rotated and balanced this weekend as well i'll have the shop check into any debris or warped rotors

First off, are they the original shocks? If so, mileage? If not, what shocks are they, and are you lowered at all? If so, how much?

It's probably the valves. The valves on my H22 were loud as **** haha.

Re: few things noticed now that im driving the lude

yeah all shocks are original as far as i know the car does not appear to be lowered and the shocks look OEM. Cant be 100% sure as I bought the car used and since its a 93 its hard to track every thing ever done if they are OEM the mileage would be 160xxx

as for the valves i hope thats the only problem (gettin it done for a 6 pack of bud light =D) timing belt water pump and front seal is the next project i don't know when it was last replaced and i don't want to have the car sit for another two months while i save up for another h23 cuz the timing belt snapped would there be any other reasons for ticking

I believe the shaking steering wheel is an alignment problem.

My rear struts are toast... they're original with 180k miles. It sounds like a clunk fest back there lol.
