NEED HELP front lower ball joint removal

SO I need to remove the lower ball joint off my car (which was ripped off when my Axle failed.) The ball itself is gone but the upper reciever for it is still stuck on the knuckle and my ball joint tool wont pull it because the parts are too big. I am fcking stuck and I need help please.

Should I try to pull the knuckle (remove calipers, speed sensor and a half dozen other things) or is there another option.

I am using the tool that looks like a giant C clamp, should I try to find the other one?

Re: NEED HELP front axle removal

ok, so I got the axle off the rotor, but the inboard bootset isnt coming free. One prob then another. I have tried a small crowbar and a screwdriver (as per the manual) but I'm not even sure where to pry.

SOLUTION: Take a pole (broom, conduit, w/e) and beat the hell out of the cv inner joint, beating out the way you want it to go. Voila, Brute Force and Ignorance FTW

Yup, got my axle, LBJ and shocks all squared away. Moral of the story: more brute force FTW.
