Water Leak found, passenger side leak.

Okay, so I've had this leak ever since I got the Lude, and I just recently found where it was coming from. It's on the passanger side, above the ECU to the right, and it's a grommet for some A/C wiring. I ran a hose under the hood, the area is shown in pictures 1 and 2,..
***DO NOT RUN WATER IN THE AREA MARKED RED!! IT WILL RUN DIRECTLY INTO THE CAR! RUN WATER IN THE GREEN ZONE.***
I pulled my passenger side seat out for easier access, and pulled the carpet back, lifted the ECU up, and a control box to the right of it which is shown in picture number 3. Pictures 4 and 5 are of the grommet that water has been passing through, right above one of the moon roof drain tubes. Basically the water passes through the wires going through the grommet, picture explains itself.

Not sure if this would be able to become a sticky, but I hope this helps someone that has a leak on the passanger side, maybe try what I did to see if that's where yours is leaking from aswell.

1.

2. It's a good idea to clean all the leaves and what not out of the area marked red, but do not run water in the red area. Run water in the green zone.

Kudo's to you, nice write up... I installed a "Drip Loop" and blew some waterproof expanding foam in there. Seems to have made my leaking issue go away but I never thought about taking the cowling off.
That grommet is infamous for leaking I found.

Thanks.

Thank you, I just know water damage to the carpet is a pain. And would like to help other people prevent this problem from happening.
I pretty much did the same thing, filled it up with some silicone caulking. When i get around to it, I'ma take the fender off and do the outside aswell.
Once the leak is fixed i plan on getting new carpet. I better run water all over the car to make sure there's no other leaks before I install the new carpet though. And lay that padding and stuff down. Can't wait. :]

Thanks for the link, I actually reviewed it before and left a comment on 7/24. I was very impressed with the work you did, and I was pretty much convinced to want to do mine the same way you did. It may not be as fast as just laying down new carpet, but it looks well worth the extra time spent. :]

Thank you.
