Re: 20 inch wheel help

cut and bend the entire fenders, not just roll.. or have them flared out. max anyone really puts on a prelude is like 18, and that's a 5th gen. 20s on a 4th gen? ouch. =[

Re: 20 inch wheel help

I don't think I've ever seen 20's on a 4th gen..

U r probably gonna have issues with rubbing no matter what u do.. I would reccomend that u look into getting smaller rims.. U can get some 17s or 18s and actually have some meat on the tires.. And by lowering the car a little (after u get 17's or 18's) u will get the no fender gap look ur probably trying to go for

Re: 20 inch wheel help

What offset are the rims? Does it rub on the inside or the outside of the wheel well? What toppings do you like on your pizza? Until you give answers to these very important questions you won't get a useful answer. And the level of conservatism among PZ member's taste seems to be rather high today, so you likely won't read too many positive comments.

You say that you fitted 225/30/20 tyres, do you realise that this is 10mm wider on each side? Or that the tyre's rollout is over 5% larger? And you wonder why you're having problems. Most that run 19s run 215/35/19, and this is the only size I've ever heard that works, and even then it only works with the right offset (usually somewhere around +45). Long story short, I think you'll be tearing strips of expensive rubber off those tyres unless you do some serous work. Or change the wheels.

Re: 20 inch wheel help

Uhhhhhh... Try cutting the fenders off completely and they won't scrub but as long as you have 20's, it will remain far from perfect so might as well complete the transformation to making it look and drive like a tank.

ROFL That car makes me laugh so hard....

Back to the topic at hand, pull the fenders out a bit, maybe get 225 or 215 width tires.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Prelude's body on 20's... But I don't like the car's heart and soul on the 20's lol.
