need help identifying a part. PLEASE HELP

this first part of my question in very simple. What exactly is the name of the part that is on TOP of the strut/shock assembly? I need to order this part and the "upper strut mount" (at least thats what I would call it), it is the circular rubber mount that is visible from under the hood and is directly above the strut/shock components. I have not been able to find these parts anywhere online and any help at all would be much appreciated. The second question I have is not really as important. I have a set of Tokico blue struts and shocks. They advertise a 1.5 inch drop, but I was wondering if when I install them will it be an automatic 1.5 inch drop or do I need to do some kind of adjustment or compress the springs a little bit before I install it?

Re: need help identifying a part. PLEASE HELP

Not sure what you're talking about for the first part, but as far as your Tokico's go...You won't get the lowering from the struts, but from the springs. If the springs are brand new, they will take a couple days to settle into their 1.5" drop. You shouldn't have to adjust anything.

What would be helpful to us is if you Googled an image of that area and then use basic photoshopping skills to circle the part or section you are refering to and I'm sure lots will chime in on assisting you!!!

Re: need help identifying a part. PLEASE HELP

its NOT called the strut mount bushing. OR the upper strut mount. at least as far as oriellys or rockauto or ebay or any website I have been to so far. ok I will find a pic of it and show you. It is that top part in circled in the picture AND the part just below it that has three screws that come up from the top of the strut assembly. I just need stock, cheap ones (oem or oem replacement is fine).

LMAO. That's why I started this thread because I didn't know what exactly the part name for that part and the part that is just below it was called. So I guess I should search for "prelude top hat" on ebay, orielly, rockauto, etc. then.

thank you yes that does help. Now is there any way you could direct me to a link where I might purchase 2 fronts and 2 rears of these? neither eBay nor rockauto has it.
