head gasket blown???

i have a 94 prelude sohc 2.2 ltr

the car has been overheating after driving for about 15 minutes and i come to a complete stop or low idle...

not the thermastat
no clogs
fans work fine
i use coolant.

after about a week or 2 of driving the coolant drys up...
the head gasket may be blown but there is not smoke and when u cover up the tail pipe it acts normal...

if it is a blown does this pretty much gurantee the head is warped?

Re: head gasket blown???

when you say dries up, you mean your loosing coolant?

cuz if so, check your oil, and see if it looks milky or chocolatey. if so, it most likely is your HG. also, a compression test will confirm the bad news; if two adjacent cylinders are very low, its a HG.
