I broke my car today

Ok so i'm gettin onto the freeway today and this ass in this ford focus wouldn't let me over so i basically had to slam on brakes. Anyways i get on and about a mile down the rd my car just starts vibrating really bad, automatically i shut the engine off not knowing exactly what it is. i pull over pop the hood and cant see anything obviously wrong so i have my brother start the car and it continues to do it. I couldnt hear anything clearly bc of the highway traffic. I pull off the next exit (about a mile). Pop the hood and still could find anything. Until i notice that my drivers side engine mount is leaned too far in. I have my brother shut off the car and get a closer look and my engine mount had broken loose, the rubber bushing and bothe of the bolts had broke, and since i dnt have a timing belt cover on it,it was literally rubbing on my tbelt . Scary situation to be in. So do you guys know where i can find another mount obviously aftermarket if possible? Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post. will have picture up soon of the mount.

Soooo....Why is this in the DIY section?...

Also, I've heard good things about Energy suspension mounts as well. Although personally I believe the ESP would prolly be best...IMO

Re: I broke my car today

IF you want stronger with more vibrations, go energy suspension. If you want strong with less vibration, go stock.

Stock didn't seem that strong considering that they broke.

"Hey Honda95 did you read the title to the D.I.Y. forum? it clearly says "READ THE STICKIES BEFORE CREATING A THREAD HERE." So are you creating a proper D.I.Y. thread or are just creating a "HELP ME I cant install this" thread? If you're simply browsing this forum then you are not guilty of anything. BUT if you are trying to create a nonsense thread that doesn't pertain to anything D.I.Y. it will be deleted and you will be flagged for not reading the rules."

yeeeaaaaa........ there's your problem right there!!

no idea how you sheared two huge-ass bolts in half, but you succeeded!
just buy another motor mount, stock or not, and you'll be good.

moved to the relevant section, BTW

thank you for moving
and i wasnt worried about it being broken, but when i saw that my tbelt was rubbing against it, holy ish. And the bolts obviously couldn't handle all the power that my engine is producing..
