Any reputable engine rebuilders

Hi last night my engine seized in my 92 prelude with a h23a1. I want to have it rebuilt. But I dont have the time to do it myself I work 132 hours a week. Is there any good reputable mechanics in the san diego area that any of you know of? I would like a new head with a valve job and port and polish. Posibly even stroke it. I have some money but I dont want it to be a money pit kind of thing. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Any reputable engine rebuilders

I would go with a swap, or the mechanics bill will keep growing.

I know places in my area that'll do a swap for 500-700 dollars, labor. Thats a sweet deal imo. I had to ask around and found a garage of import kids who can do it blindfolded.

The engine might be a little pricy, est 3000 for an added transmission. But I think it would still be easier then rebuilding the one you have.

Thats what I was afraid of. If anything ill pay someone on here to do it. Either a h22 swap or rebuild with port and polish and possibly a stroke if they can. Im in camp pendleton california if it helps

Is that close to the Kaizenspeed shop? You should find out cuz those guys are pretty good. But honestly you really shouldn't have a problem finding a good place out there.
