Type S into 4th gen?

I've searched all over Google and couldn't find the answer. I'm planning to swap in an H22 Type S in the future and I'm wondering if it fits and if any mods are needed.

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

Ok, now, any modification needed? Or can I just order it and it's a direct swaps, using my axles?

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

theres always a little diff . a few connectors and if i remember right the type s had full impedance injectors and the stock motor did not had an injector resistor looks like a heat sink drivers side near the firewall . if you get the motor with a harness should have a jumper stub that plugs in in place of the resistor

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

Only thing i could think of off hand would be the type s is obd2 n ur obd1. So ud have to either convert to obd2 or get the obd2-obd1 conversion. Other then that im fairly certain itll drop straight in. im not %100 but if im wrong someone plz correct me.

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

You will also need the Type S or SH ATTS transmission. The Euro R or SiR motor can be used with your stock transmission, and makes the same power

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

The one I saw is on Hmotors and it brings the stock ECU and engine harness. I'm guessing I'll just have to throw on the ECU and engine harness and it'll work? If not I know where to get the OBD1 to OBD2 harness so that's not a problem. Also if I get the motor I'll be getting it with the LSD tranny.

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

You'll need an OBD jumper harness for the ECU to plug into your car. As long as you get the ATTS transmission with it it'll fit fine. Dunno why Hmotors lists LSD

Re: Type S into 4th gen?

you can run and obd1 harness and ecu . you have to change a little wiring if your car is not a vtec but f the sh and atts crap added weight . lsd baby . i ran stock obd1 h223 ecu with a apexi neo ( vetec worked off the neo ) and lsd trans was pretty damn quick never a single problem either . by the way i used the h23 harness and the h23 dizzy . you can change the crank gear and all associated parts to get rid of the obd crank sensor its all housed in the dizzy on obd1 .
