Icon5 Locking lug nuts... PLEASE HELP!

Forgive me if there is an appropriate thread for this already. I'm new and I DID SEARCH but didnt find anything...

I've never had any aftermarket rims before so when I bought my lude I didn't think to ask about the socket for locking lug nuts. My motegi rims take a special star lookin' socket to get em off. I asked the guy that I bought it from and he said he didn't get the wrench/socket from the guy he bought it from and he doesn't have any contact info for the guy.

Any advice where I can get something to get these damn things off??? I don't really care to keep these locking lug nuts so even advice on how to get em off and replacing them with reg lug nuts will do...

My tie rod has also disconneted so I need a way to get these ****ers off to fix it ASAP. PLEASE help!

thanks

Re: Locking lug nuts... PLEASE HELP!

You could contact them at MOTEGI WHEELS and see if they'll send a replacement. Sweet wheels by the way. If you forget to mention that you didnt buy the rims they may be willing to send you a replacement socket for their rims, maybe have to pay shipping. If you haven't you could also check Autozone (I have seen some lug lock kits there) or even Home Depot and try to find something that will work long enough to get the bolts off.

Best of luck!

Re: Locking lug nuts... PLEASE HELP!

Get a very cheap socket set and a big hammer. I'm sure you can work out what to do next. (I've seen this work, and I've seen it not work, so be careful)

Re: Locking lug nuts... PLEASE HELP!

snap on and matco make a kit just for removing wheel locks . when you dont have a key its well worth 50 bucks for a set of locking lug removers that wont damage your rims .
