Icon5 Hood height adjustment?

How do you adjust the height of the hood? I know that if you loosen the bolts on the hinges you can move the hood forward, backwards, left and right but my hood seems to be too high. Even when the hood is closed you can see into the engine compartment.

Re: Hood height adjustment?

consider it your unintentional JDM hood-tilt, yOOOO

allll the cool kids are doin it

but no srsly, if the hood is too high, i can't really think of something that'll lower it. at least if it was too low, you could put some washers in to raise it a bit.
do i spy some minor damage on the front of the fender?

Re: Hood height adjustment?

from the picture it looks like you need to move the top of the fender in towards the hood.

Re: Hood height adjustment?

Where do you adjust the fender position and what bolts adjust the hood, the ones on the hinge? Mine is off to the side (no gap right but the left is high and has a 3/8" gap

yes'm, the 4 bolts on each hood hinge adjust the hood. the fender is a bit harder tho, many more bolts.

you just tighten down the towers, which squeezes them together, and the clips mount on the top of the door jamb.

if you wanna raise the hood, then yes you gotta add washers. but to lower it, like the OP, i'm not too sure about.
