Rear window Bottom trim

Okay well my rear window trim piece on the bottom is crapping out on me. After treating it well and painting it removing all the nasty chip marks on it it seems like the paint pulled the rest of the material over the metal up so it looks like crap again.

Part Detail

It is part number 4. Anyone know where I can get this for a non-70$ price or any solutions to this? I went on my local Honda dealers website and they don't even seem to carry replacement parts for the Prelude anymore which is sort of weird? So if any1 knows where i can get this other than maybe ill get lucky and find a part out please let me know I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem. Sorry for all my recent posts just have had a lot of time to work on the car lately so taking the most advantage of it as I can.

^ nothing like a brand new trim piece .. buy it New from Honda .. price is actually good considering you won't find that piece for sale anywhere else.

Re: Rear window Bottom trim

they may not carry em in stock, but that doesn't mean they can't have the part delivered to them so u can go pick it up ;)

They get parts shipped in because they gotta fix stuff too :)

I wire wheeled mine and repainted it with outdoor black paint. Not the prettiest thing ever but it does look better than the dry-rotted rubber rusting off the metal

Yea def. not feeling the 70$ price i'd find another way to fix it haha so if I do an actually good job I'll post it up and see what you guys thinks. No but like I was saying their parts dept. doesn't even have options to get parts for the Prelude.

I bought it new from Honda while its still available, just save up for it because its hard to say how long they will even keep making these parts!

Re: Rear window Bottom trim

I'm going to go to woodfin tomorrow after work and see if I can get one there in better condition hopefully for a lot cheaper. Any way to keep these pieces of trim in good ship or just over exposure to the sun I'm guessing are just tearing em apart slowly?
