Uh yeah but it's glass... it won't rust. The good far outweighs the bad when talking about the fifth gen moon roof conversion.

Re: glass sunroof conversion

You can do just the glass without the sunshade, which I wouldn't do cuz sun will always be coming in, or you can get the entire unit and fit it with a little modification.

Re: glass sunroof conversion

Do the whole unit, all you have to do is make a few cuts and it basically falls into place,

Re: glass sunroof conversion

i have the 5th gen assembly in my lude its was heavy as hell to get in but over all was worth it.

if you just have no idea what your doing it be easyer to go with the glass an make a few cuts an mount it to your 4th gen assembly.

Re: glass sunroof conversion

If you're over 6 foot just do the glass........the full assembly lowers the headliner 1-2 inches.......now my spiky hair hits the liner

Agreed. I did just the glass install on my 93 for that reason, and the simplicity of the straight glass swap over the entire assembly swap. Took only an hour or two to swap out the panels, but be sure you have the tools for the job. Even with swapping just the panels there is modifying of steel involved.

Tinted glass panel > rusted out eyesore FTW.
