Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

HID kit is my next mod and prob last one before all funds are turned to boost related things. I've been looking at all the different colors and have settled on 8000k since it's got the light blue and white mix and is what I like. Well I went on Ebay and find these
9006 8000k Iceberg Blue XENON HID CONVERSION KIT: eBay Motors (item 110549943415 end time Aug-20-10 09:18:15 PDT)
Now it says they are direct plug and play so these require no wiring at all. It says if your lights flicker though you'll need to buy a different harness. Anyone help with this or if anyone recommends another company or such let me know Thanks in advance.

(I also have black DEPO 1-piece headlights) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DEPO-...ht_3118wt_1165
these one's if that matters.

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

First off, THANK YOU for putting them into projector housings. Second off, I wouldnt trust that brand. seems to "ebay" if you know what I mean, look for the Xentec HID kit, I had their kit in the 10000k and it was awesome. I had the kit in for about a year with absolutely no problems, and the light output was actually pretty good. I bought some knockoff JDM one pieces though so I took them out.

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

Okay, I searched some found an older post. Went to DDM Tunning and ordering the 8000k HID kit with the wiring harness and read i don't need the eliminator kit. Was wondering though how is it plug in play into stock if they don't ask for vehicle specific or is every vehicle almost the same plug in on bulb harnesses?

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

If you want good lighting on the road, 8000k is way WAY too blue. Especially if its going into projector housing. But I guess it just depends on what youre looking for, performance or style. I remember i used to have one at 8000k and the light it put out was nice in terms of how blue it was but the actually lighting was piss poor. I ended up selling it.

I now have retrofitted TSX Projectors into my JDM headlights with 4300k, philips ballast and bulbs and it looks amazing. It cost a lot more than that ebay auction though lol.

I would go with 5000k if you want blue but still want to see the street well at night.

Mine were direct plug and play, no "eliminator kit" or anything. just went stock harness--> ballast-->bulb

What midnitemyst said is also true, the 10000k I had had a really deep blue, the ladies LOVED it, I relied on city street lights or my highbeams to actually see anything. I would say 6000k would be your best bet for a tint of blue with actual vision capabilities.

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

I decided to go with DDM Tuning and decided to go with the 8000k HID kit 35w and for those who don't know it's a 9006 bulb (for low beams). Also ordered the wiring harness with it so for about 67$ shipped hopefully it's worth it, decided not to go with eBay cause I didn't want to be disappointed. Thanks for all the help to all who responded. Will put up pics before/after the install along with all the other new goodies I'm getting soon. =)

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

got it all open and stuff i see how everything connects, I think. But what are the 2 little rubber seals for? didn't realize it was so many wires but all looks easy plug and play. If someone can answer that it'd be very helpful, Thanks!

Re: Looking to get a 8000k HID kit

So I went to ddm tunings site, chose 55w, 9005 option as I want them as high beams. Is the hid harness option needed?
