Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

Lol of course he will be able to drive it. I have seen dudes that are 6'6" driving civic hatches and integra's. Preludes are far roomier than both of those cars. The seats in the prelude actually go all the way back to where they touch the backseat, and then they also tilt forward and backward, he will fit just fine

Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

Lol see that is the thing, if you allow your son to get this car, you don't ever have to worry about people in the back distracting him, because you can't fit people in the back I am 5'8" and I sit with the seat all the way up and there is still no room in the back for people that are MY size. Soooo yeahh, lol the backseats were kind of an afterthought, in all reality the prelude is more of a two seater

Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

im 6' and i fit 1 guy that was about 6'3" in the back and another that was about 5'10" and another guy that was about 6'3" in the passenger seat. another time i actually has 3 people in my back seat, but they were all 5'8" or shorter. and im 17. despite his height hell find a way to fit people in the back seat

Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

Im 6 foot even and i have to have the seat pretty close. He's all good being 6'3" just use the lil knob on the side of the seat to drop the rear of the seat all the way down.

He'll fit just fine.

Somebody find the pic of Shaq in a 4th gen.. I'm on my iPhone and don't feel like doing it.. I wouldn't say that Shaq fits comfortably but the fact that he can even get into the car is amazing

Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

He should have plenty of room but like someone else already said, there's virtually no room for anyone except one passenger (a girl friend perhaps? ;) ). As for the power behind a prelude for his first car, eh, well does he have the need for speed running in his viens like the rest of us? lol

Re: who thinks this is a good car for someones first car

haha I regularly carry people in my backseat because I do like giving rides to my friends...and usually its just one in the back...all they do is put their feet on the floor of the seat next to them. Usually thats the drivers seat(cause they sit on the passenger side). If you put four normal sized people in a prelude, at least the 5th Gens....you bottom out A LOT. either that or something to do with the suspension. But yea the Prelude is a great first car. Its not so fast that if hes got a lead foot...it wouldn't be terribly dangerous...but fast enough to get out of the way or speed up and get past people when you have to :)

Im 6ft3 and have more than enough space although have pretty much written off the back seats as "seats" and they are pretty much just decorative at the moment haha
