Re: part identification

"The ground mount wire is located at the passenger side towards the front corner near your corner lamp. You'll have to open the hood and look right next to your battery and air intake (if you have a short ram like me). You'll see a connector the size of 2.5 inches mounted onto the wall near the corner lamp wire. It's a unit with a white cover and alot of wires coming out of it. Use a 10 socket wrench to take that off and clean both the wall and the connector for better ground. I did that and it seem to fix my problem. Thats the ground for the headlights (low beam) and some of the other lamp/turn signals. Hope this helps all."

There is something I had found, I'll get pictures for you up in about 10 minutes.

Re: part identification

Here ya go, big guy.

These are your headlight grounds, there is one on each side of the engine bay, the one on the driverside is kind of hidden behind the top of the windshield wiper fluid reservoir, the one on the passenger side is right next to your air intake if you have a short ram, next to your airbox if you have a stock one. Hope that helps.

Re: part identification

Not off hand but it does indeed sound like a wiring issue, or maybe you are missing some fuses.

Re: part identification

i had a problem like this with my horns. i finally figured it out. it turned out to bad a bad connection where the wiring harness from the dash on the passenger side connects to the rest of the car

Re: part identification

kudos to brickdiver for his kindness and sincerity to the new, i'm impressed.

you could try cleaning up the ground but it really does sound like a fuse problem, did you check both fuse boxes?

no. 17 for wipers
no. 50 and 51 for headlights
no. 46 and 39 for turn signals/running lights
(I know 46 doesn't say its for the turn signals but it is hooked into the ICU which does connect to the lights in question)
My problem ended up being in the ICU but I would take that as a last resort kind of thing because you still have quite a few other things it could be before you attempt taking out your under dash fuse box[/SIZE]
